Aerial filming that goes further than most.
We have carried out aerial filming on building sites, in stadiums, over coastal locations and city centres, and on location in Italy, Spain, the USA and across the UK. Our operators are not weekend hobbyists with an off-the-shelf drone — they are experienced commercial pilots flying a Mavic 4 Pro and custom-built FPV rigs, with the CAA licensing and real-world experience to back it up.
What makes us different from a standalone drone company is that aerial filming is part of what we do, not all of it. We can bolt drone and aerial footage onto a wider production day, which means your aerial shots are captured by people who understand how the footage will be used in the edit — and at a cost that reflects the fact that one operator can cover both ground and air.
What we film from the air
- Building and construction site progress
- Corporate facility and estate overviews
- Waterfront and coastal locations
- Events and outdoor productions
- Vehicle and product tracking shots
- Architecture and real estate
- FPV through buildings and structures
Based in Southampton. Aerial filming across Hampshire and the UK.
Being based in Southampton puts us in a strong position for aerial filming across Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and the wider south of England, with no travel charges within an hour of Southampton. We know the area — the coastline, the urban restrictions around Southampton Airport and the naval base in Portsmouth, and the permissions needed for waterfront and city centre locations. That local knowledge means fewer surprises on the day.
For aerial filming locations further afield, we have operators who work nationally and have shot internationally. CAA permissions, site surveys and risk assessments are handled as standard — you should not have to worry about the paperwork.
Several of our camera operators are also qualified drone pilots, which means you can add aerial footage to a production day without bringing in a separate crew.
FPV drone filming.
FPV (First Person View) drone filming is a specialist skill and our pilots are among the best at it. Flying custom built rigs with goggles that give a live cockpit view, they can navigate through tight spaces, track fast moving vehicles, fly through building interiors and capture sequences that a standard camera drone simply cannot match. We have used FPV for building tours that take the viewer through an entire structure in one continuous shot, and for vehicle tracking work where the drone keeps pace with cars and motorcycles at speed. If you have seen drone footage that made you think how did they do that, it was probably FPV.
What we film from the air.
Commercial and corporate video productions, property and architecture, construction sites and development projects, stadiums and sports venues, outdoor events and festivals, vehicle and product tracking shots, building interior tours, coastal and waterfront locations, rural estates and agricultural land, and film and TV productions needing aerial inserts. We have done all of these across the UK and on international productions. If you are not sure whether drone filming is feasible for your project or location, get in touch and we will give you a straight answer.
How a drone shoot works with us.
Before the shoot we assess the location, check airspace restrictions, identify the best positions and make sure all permissions are in place. On the day we work alongside your wider production if there is one, or independently if it is a standalone drone day. We are happy to show footage live on a monitor so you can see exactly what is being captured and call for adjustments in real time. Most drone footage is edited and delivered within a few days, and we can work to tighter deadlines when the job requires it.
CAA licensed pilots and full documentation.
All of our drone operators hold the CAA permissions required to fly commercially in the UK. We are also experienced with the documentation that locations and landowners frequently request before granting permission to fly. We supply whatever is needed as part of the job, including:
- Drone Filming Protocols
- Flight Plans (take off zones, emergency landing and mission area)
- Filming Requests
- Standard Indemnity
- Drone Operator Checklist
- Safety Codes
- Zealous Media Operations Manual
- Zealous Media Systems (equipment)
