The right crew for the job, whatever the job is.
Some shoots need a single camera operator with a run-and-gun kit. Others need a full multi-camera team with a director, sound recordist, lighting technician and production coordinator. We cover both ends of that spectrum and everything in between, and we are honest about what a shoot actually needs rather than upselling crew you do not require.
All of our operators shoot on Sony FX9 and FX3, with full supporting kit including prime lenses, lighting and sound. We match the operator to the brief, because the person who is best suited to a fast-paced event shoot is not always the same person who should be leading a structured corporate production.
Specialist skills across the team.
Beyond standard camera operation, our team covers a range of specialist filming disciplines. Several operators are CAA licensed drone pilots, which means you can add aerial footage to a production day without bringing in a separate crew. We also cover vehicle filming, altitude filming, steadicam and gimbal operation, timelapse and miniature camera work.
One area that sets us apart, particularly given our Southampton base, is marine filming. We have filmed on and around boats across the Solent and beyond, and our team includes a qualified boat skipper. For coastal, waterfront and on-water productions this means we can put a camera where other crews simply cannot without hiring additional support.
Our kit.
Our core cameras are the Sony FX9 and Sony FX3, both shooting up to 4K with full frame sensors. We carry a range of cinema prime lenses, professional audio and lighting for most production requirements. For more specialist work we also use the following depending on what the shoot calls for:
- Rhino Slider (motion controlled)
- DJI Ronin (motorised gimbal)
- Cinema Prime Lenses
- Jib
- Track and Dolly
- Timelapse rigs
- Miniature and action cameras
If a shoot requires kit we do not carry in our core inventory, we source it at pre-production stage. We would rather tell you upfront what we need than improvise on the day.
Day rates and how we work.
We work on day rates and half day rates, with pricing that reflects the crew size and kit required for the job. We are transparent about costs at the quoting stage and do not add surprises afterwards. For regular clients and ongoing projects we are happy to discuss retainer arrangements.
We work across the UK and internationally. Based in Southampton, there are no travel charges for locations within an hour of us. We also work regularly in London at competitive day rates without the London agency markup. For locations further afield we will always be upfront about what travel costs look like before you commit to a booking.
